Kaduna Speaker condemns incessant kidnapping

Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani, Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, has strongly criticized the state’s ongoing kidnappings.

Parents whose children were kidnapped at Bethel Baptist High School in Kaduna and families of the Leprosy Training Centre in Zaria commiserated with Zailani.

The Speaker expressed his concern in a statement issued by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani expressing shock at the news of the abduction of school children in Kaduna.

According to him, “We woke up this morning to yet another depressing news of abduction of students of the Bethel Baptist High School, Kaduna. This is not a cheering news, coming a day after the abduction at the Leprosy Training Centre, Zaria.”

He commiserated with families of those affected, saying that he is greatly worried by the fact that these two recent abductions are targeted at key sectors of the society, as the state government is doing everything possible to ensure the protection of lives and property.

Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani as the Speaker of the State Assembly, he added that he is urging those perpetrating these criminal acts to repent, knowing that no religion supports criminality.
