Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State, has responded to allegations that he is likely to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Saifullahi Hassan, Kwankwaso’s media aide, told DailyTrust that a rumour circulating that Kwankwaso intends to return to the APC is incorrect.
The leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement also confirmed that he is not planning to float a new political party to challenge PDP and APC for presidency in 2023.
Meanwhile, the Kano State Commissioner for Rural Development, Musa Iliyasu, said Kwankwaso will be welcomed back to the APC if fhe is ready to submit to the leadership of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
“If Kwankwaso wants to come to APC, let him withdraw his red cap to come under Ganduje,” he added.
