Three injured in Southern Kaduna fresh attack

Unknown gunmen alleged to be bandits attacked Ungwan Katsit Community in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Sunday night, injuring three people.

The bandits assaulted the Katsit community about 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday night, firing irregularly and injuring three people, according to Metro Times.

An eyewitness, Mr. Bulus Awuta, who narrowly escaped the scene, said the gunmen came through the popular pig market and started shooting sporadically.

“The gunmen numbering about 30 came through the market and started shooting into the air. People ran in different directions, confused. In the end, three people sustained varying degrees of injuries,” he revealed.

The injured people were taken to Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa Memorial Hospital, Kafanchan for treatment.

Katsit in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area shares a border with Kafanchan town, Headquarters of Jema’a local government area of Kaduna State.
