Two murder suspects arrested in Delta

Two suspects have been arrested by the Delta State Police Command for the alleged murder of Mr German Enameg.

On June 25, at Iwhrepokpor Community, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta, the victim was slain in front of his wife’s shop.

The suspects named as Ononeme and Ogboso were apprehended from their hideouts in Ughelli on July 2 by a joint team of police officers and vigilante group, according to DSP Edafe Bright, the command’s acting spokesman.

According to Bright, one of the suspects admitted to being the leader of the Vikings Confraternity in Ughelli during interrogation and that he had a leadership feud with another suspect.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects are allegedly responsible for the killing of Enameg a.k.a Believe,” he said

He added that investigation into the matter was ongoing.

Bright also stated that the command had arrested a suspected kidnapper in Warri South.

He explained that the suspected kidnapper and his gang were trailed by police operatives to Cemetery Road, Warri on May 6, where they abandoned their victim identified as Tayo Badamasi and fled with their vehicle.
