Fintiri reiterates commitment to prioritize security and welfare of NYSC corps members

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has informed Youth corps members serving in Adamawa State that special security arrangements for the protection of their lives and properties whereever they are serving in the state has been put in place.

The Governor made the disclosure at the official declaration of orientation course for the Batch B Stream I corps members deployed to the state.
Represented by the state Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Hon Aloysius Babadoke the governor stated that enormous contributions of corps members cannot be taken for granted by his administration.

He noted that the polices and programmes of the NYSC scheme are in consonance with the people oriented 11 point agender of his administration.

Governor Fintiri further maintained that the 48 year old NYSC scheme has served not only as scheme for national unity and integration but also a programme that has increased the socio economic progress of the country. He thereafter strongly advocated for the continued existence of the programme.

After tasking corp members to actively participate in the drill and all other activities he also enjoined them to use the opportunity to make new friend and to expand their horizon by creating networks throughout Nigeria.

The Governor also commended the State Commander of the NYSC in Adamawa State Mal Ibrahim M Tukur and all officials of the NYSC for working assiduously to ensure the success of the programme at all given intervals.
